Chameleons refuse to eat anything but crickets

I have to graceful chameleons that I'm nursing back to health. They both absolutely love eating crickets, but I would like to add some variety to their diet. I introduced them to waxworms and mealworms, but for some reason they just show no interest. I have tried putting the worms in a dish, using feeding tongs, and even setting them on the vine in front of each chameleon. But for some reason, they would rather just stick to the crickets. I have no idea if I am doing something wrong or not. What else should I try doing? Is there another type of food that I should use?

One is a male, and the other a female. They both were wild-caught.
I have them in separate screened enclosures, each about 4 feet tall, 3 feet wide, and 3 feet deep. There's plenty of plants and vines. Each have a 125W Solar Glo bulb that provides UVB and UVA. I mist a least twice a day, and have a dripper on each terrarium.

mine didnt like so much the crickets,he would eat only mealworms!i stoped giving meals and eventualy he ate crickets!stop feeding them 1 day and introduce other bugs or worms!you should try roaches and see how it goes!

I wouldn't use wax worms, there fatty and don't really do your chameleon much good. If you want to use worms try silk worms or calciworms instead witch are much better for a chameleon, I would also try dubi roaches

They can be fussy sometimes cant they!! Zuggie totally went off his crickets would not touch them would just eat a few mealworms n locust then i introduced silkworms and he loved them!!! Hes well into his worms then after around a week of giving him worms and a few locust i put a few crickets in there and i think he forgot that he was on a cricket strike and munched the lot!! Now hes back on then with his silkworms too and few mealworms here and there and got some green banana roaches for treats :) theres all sorts u can try out but for a main feeder like ur crickets id replace with silkworms or just try them as most chams love them i think they very juicy ;)

I think sometimes the WC ones like flying insects too, so you could try them with a couple of bluebottles/houseflies, or moths, butterflies, craneflies etc?

I seem to usually have the opposite happen were they wont eat crickets. This really isnt a problem because you can gutload crickets so easily and crickets are very easy to acquire for cham owners. Have you tried superworms? They move a lot which will usually get your chams interest to try one. I find that with supers, chams tend to get stuck on just eating them and not crickets. I guess its a double edged sword I dont know.
