This is a felony in total value lost. Definitely worth calling the cops over. I hope you catch the SOBs!

I had a colony of Jacksons stolen from my backyard in the early 90's. Had four kids hop over the brick wall and do a smash and grab, around 10:00pm at night. They left shoe prints in the gound so I could see four tracks. When I went to the police ( 500.00 + value lost ) to file a report, they basically laughed at me. " So let me get this right. "" You want to file a report on some stolen lizards" I ended up walking out, before losing my cool.

So, I feel for you.

I am sorry to hear of the losses for both of you. I really hope that you get them back some how. Chameleons may be "cool" to people who don't know about them, but what they don't know is really going to hurt those poor chams.

I agree, advertise like crazy that they are ill...no questions asked if brought back asap. Who wants a "cool" sick animal?? Not too many people.

Man hearing stuff like that really pisses me off! It is one thing to steal a item such a a TV,car ect. But when it is something you treasure like your animals it is so upsetting! I am really sorry chuck and hope the PoS'S get caught

Sorry to hear that Chuck, I think whom ever that took them knew they are pricy and will try to sell them, the ankaramy will be the immediate red flag. You don't find them that often in craig's list or similar places.

Lets all keep an eye on our local craig's list, the guy could be putting them on chicago and easily ship them from Ca.

PM Chuck if you find something that could lead to find them.

If the Chameleon was taken to sell, then greed may get the theifs attention...offer a reward on signs, in the paper, word of mouth, etc. Just be prepared for some prank calls regarding the chameleon as well. Some people have a sick sense of humor.

Thanks for everyone's well wishes. I will keep my fingers crossed that something turns up. Anyone that truly knows me,knows that I would like nothing better than to have caught the idiot. Anyway,police report and reward posted is what I have done for now. My only wish at this point,other than having them back is whoever took them knows how to take care of them. I could live with that, as it is my fault.

It may be mean but I hope when whoever took him opens that cage, the cham lets him have it. People who havent experience dont know how to handle a cham who gives warnings. with any luck, they will get a good chunk missing and maybe youll see them at your gym with a big bandage and it would resolve the case.. or maybe they will realize what they did was wrong after they get a chunk taken outta them and return it. I hope so for both your sakes. Thats just terrible.. Material things is one thing but a living creature..Im saddened for you.
