Cheaper alternative to distilled water?

Hello fellow chameleon lovers! As you may have read, I am having a little bit of an issue paying for the distilled water I put in my Cham's mister and hand mister. I know they have to have clean, chemical free water but it there a cheaper alternative to this? I spend about 5-6 bucks a week on distilled water

Get an RO buddy from any of the aquarium chain suppliers online, its $100 and has a DI unit on it to makeclean water. I use it for my cham.and reef tank.

I buy the 5 gallon jugs of RO here. They were like $14 for the jug but then it only costs me $2 to fill. I only have to fill one every 2 weeks. We have a place called Pure Water where I get it but any grocery store will have the machines up front. You buy the filled jug the first time and then just bring it back to fill it. Way cheaper that way than buying a gallon at a time off the shelf.

I suppose they could technically drink it, I don't know whether they would or not. And I imagine if they did it could either kill them or make them very sick. So what have we learned kids? Don't mist your chameleons with moonshine lol

Are there any water purifying drops I can use on normal tap water? These other alternatives are unfortunately too much for me to afford

Unfortunately I don't think any of the actual purifying drops work, though I am not sure. I know none of the reptile ones do and the ones for fish do not take enough stuff out of the water for it to be considered safe to drink.

I'd like to see the data backing this statement.... or at least the moonshine it was tested with. For
Um....
They sake of being tested for authenticity!

The jerks upped the price around here. It went from a modest $0.25 a gallon to $0.30 a gallon! My last name isn't Rockafeller! I'm telling the kids, "No more school for you! TO THE MINES!!!"
