My veiled had an episode last nite jus before his lights went off I noticed him laying on floor of viv. I left him there and went to work. Wen I got home 6 hours later he was still laying there asleep now. So I picked him up and he straight away started moving. I let him go bk to his vines and he seemed ok.
Wen woke this afternoon I fed him an watched him having a drink.
I had a lil nap and jus woke bk up and he was at the bottom of the viv again wr he was last nite. I went over and opened his cage an he went straight for a log witch he ran straight up fed him another cricket an he ate it straight away.
Any1 have any ideas y he doin this
My previous post bout this is titled " help my veiled is laying on floor of viv"

Now he's going bk up.
Any ideas

That page is not found. It has got them spurs on his feet. The breeder sold me it as male so pretty sure it's wat he says it is. Hope so anyway.
He's again climbed down to the bottom and sitn in the exact same spot as last nite. Will wait till 2mora and call the breeder.

Sorry about that, the link is now "fixed".

You might want to check the temps with another thermometer. Infrared thermometers are typically more accurate than the gauge types and can be pointed at a specific spot.
Perhaps it is too hot up top or the UVB.

I would trust the fact that he has the spurs over anyone's say so.

My thermometer is a digital 1 with a probe I can place were I like to check the temps. This the first time he has dun this and I haven't changed anythn since I first put him in there. It's like he's looking around checking things out.
I have put a tub with sum spring greens in if he goes down there agen.
It's strange but he's still very active and eating and drinking
Thanks for posts anymore info great help.

The thermometer should be easy enough to test. Test the readings in a few places inside your house and see if they are accurate.
Some of the digital probe types are not so great, from what I have read.

Does he have enough foliage to hide behind up near the top of his enclosure?
Is the enclosure large enough, according to the guidelines?
The details on recommended cage sizes are here, too:

Yes all readings r ok I check every few days. My thermometer is a exo terra 1 and have used these for years never had problem.
Yes he has plenty on places to hide behind by his basking spot so he thinks he can't b seen.
2 real plants 3 fake 1s 4 exo terra vines there is plenty of things for him.
Thinks he cud jus b exploring

If he goes for a while to the bottom and returns to the upper part of the enclosure, then yes he could be exploring.

Going to sleep on the bottom of the enclosure is not normal.
The only chams I've had do that were sick.

If he does it again, then I would think something is wrong.

Jus been and checked on him and he's sleep again at the very bottom of viv.
If I go to puck him up he jus climbs bk up his light is still on I turned the basking bulb off incase he was to hot.
He doesn't luk sick wen he's moving but doesn't luk good in this position ImageUploadedByTapatalk1362861226.699932.jpg

The basking was lower 90s until sum1 told me that was too high so lowered it to mid 80s. Then wen he started doin this going to bottom I thought maybe he mite of been to hot so turned his basking bulb off completely. Temp was about 79. Lower down cage is now around 65 now the light gas gone off.
What do u think I shud do. Can speak to the breeder in morning
