chewing on vines

i have an ambilobe panther chameleon for about three weeks now and ive noticed that she has been chewing on her vines and taking chunks out of them. I removed them from her cage and now she just has a few leaves to play on until the new ones come in. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? i have no idea as to why she would be biting junks out of it for.

It is a panther stereotype. Much like 'white people can't dance.' :D We can't! Female panthers chew less than males, and usually quit a lot faster also. Much debate about nutrients and H2O. Neither ever proven. Just something you will have to wait out. She will most likely quit.

i feed her plenty and get her enough water as well, she eats better than i do. And i cant remember what brand it was, got it from pet smart. Im going out and getting her those aquatic one by exoterra i think. I dont think shell beable to bite out a piece of those

I have real sticks in my babies cage and he was chewing on them. I haven't seen him get any pieces off. he also seems to be not doing it as much as he was even a couple weeks ago.
