christmas gift advice

well, this is very random, but im completely stumped. i need to get SOMETHING for my boyfriend, who is a total country bum and would fish everyday if he could, and in the summer, he does, haha. but he has every fishing gadget known to man. so i cant think of what to get him for christmas. id like it to be meaningful, really wanted to get him a nice necklace, but he already has one his mom got him with a cross on it that he rarely takes off...and i dont want to replace that. ideas??

(im not entirely sure what all that entails. hah.).. to me, christmas is the time to buy other people stuff they wouldnt buy themselves.. like something they always say is "too expensive" but you know they want it. Maybe some extra nice boots or a jacket or something like that? You mentioned a necklace, but what about maybe a belt or a bracelet or something. Wallets and watches anything are almost always good (unless they hate wearing watching and wouldn't use a pocket watch)...

You'll think of something. How about a nice gift card to..walmart.. scheels.. some sort of tackle shop? or maybe a sweet knife?

I'm a borderline obsessed fisherman myself, and for my birthday, my girlfriend surprised me with a charter boat that took myself and a few friends out for striped bass. I landed a 43" monster and had one of the best days of my life, for what its worth!

i would LOVE to do something like that for him...but my budget is a bit tight this christmas :/ maybe an idea for his birthday in june

he likes football, steelers to be exact but he doesnt wear jerseys, or play it, just likes watching it :/

How about offering to spend a day out fishing with him? or if you are brave, go away a few days on a camping & fishing trip. The guys love that!!

i go fishing with him almost every weekend ^.^ and he is not 18 yet until june..and his mom is super strict about us being together overnight...so camping may be out of the question even tho its a really good idea :/
