Citrus Gutload

I just made myself a nice cup of fresh squeezed orange lemon apple juice in the juicer and have a ton of pulp for cricket food. I know Oranges and apples are fine but how is the lemon as a gut load for crickets? Will they eat it, and if so will it hurt anything?

My suspicion is it is fine but I figured I would ask before I did something new.

Thanks!

I would guess that its fine, i mean, i was taught that you feed the crickets things that the chams wont eat. i doubt it would eat lemon pulp, but i assume there would be some benefits to it.

I would say try it out, a little shouldn't hurt. Its a citrus, same as lime, orange and grapefruit. i would try it and see how the crickets react to it first, if they die off for some reason, obviously don't feed them anymore.

Hopefully this helps. I've done slices of lime before because it as the water source when i kept them for fish.

Best of luck and let us know how it goes.
