cleaning outdoor branches?

i recently picked up large branches to start a temporary free range for my chameleons(one at a time) they dont fit in an oven to bake.What could i do to clean/disinfect the branch's?

If they are from your yard and you are sure they are free of pesticides, then there is not really that much you have to do. You can just wash with soapy water, rinse and let dry in the sun. To me baking in the oven is total overkill! Just my opinion....

This was dug up from somewhere! I find the easiest thing is to give them a quick rub to remove loose bits, then poor boiling water over to remove all the baddies, then just leave to dry! Repeat if you feel like it! Simple!
