Climbing the top of the cage?

so my little galaxy has been doing something very weird. After he is out of his cage and is ready to go back in he runs in on to his favored spot and starts to climb on the ceiling of his cage. The shop I got him at gave us a " things to look out for" paper and one says not to let them on the top. I try to get him off by putting my hand in there but he just gets mad and it is making me nervous should I look out for this more often?

Is he going under the basking light? Not sure but he may be trying to get warmed back up after being out of the cage.

try and raise your basking spot. it may not be high enough. my veiled did he same thing, but he was under the heat lamp. so i got some help from the forums and they said the exact same thing. and it worked. he rarely trys to go on the top and if he does i normally take him down and he just goes back to his normal spot. if you have a something that measures heat use that to regulate the spot. high 70s or low 80s is good for the heat spot. ill be following to see what you decide to do and what he does.

My juvenile veiled chameleon used to climb to the ceiling and when he started getting to heavy he would fall into his pothos plant. Scared me to death I was convinced he had mbd but it turned out he was just getting too big to be upside down like that. Baby's can hold themselves upsidedown but when they get bigger they realize they can't and eventually lose interest..
