Does anyone else's cham insist on climbing on them!!
I got Kuzco (aka Booger) out and he keeps climbing back to me. Even from the free range. Its been a couple days since I've dedicated an hour to letting him chill, but its crazy. I put him on the towel rack by the window in the bathroom, and he climbed down, did a lap around the bathroom and climbed up my pant leg. Then I put him back on the towel rack and he climbed down and came straight for me.

I know some people believe that chams don't have emotions and what not, but I really believe that they do. The towel rack and free range are both taller thank me and he still chooses me. :D

No complaints here, but it would be nice of I could straighten my hair without little claws digging into my leg lol. He's so silly. :p

I would not complain, I love it when Picasso wants to be on me and always try to get him to.....I think that is very sweet of Kuzco, he loves you and I know they know who we are, they recognize us and I hope they have feelings for us.....my boy is very sweets that way forever.

My Cham is the same way. He insists on being on my head all the time even if tho there are plants higher up. Maybe he just likes the feel of my hair or maybe they really do prefer company or their owners

Picasso is a very sweet boy:) Kuzco is too, I just find it odd that people say they are emotionless, yet Kuzco always! wants to be with me. He even has taken to hiding in the free range that is next to my headboard when its close to bedtime

I believe they do like the company of us. I mean maybe not all the time but sometimes:)

George is the same way. He runs out on to us when we open the cage door. He even reaches out for us when he is in his free range. He just loves to walk around on my boyfriend and I. Rex....not so much LOL. He is a lone wolf and prefers to stay way up high on his vine and be left alone.

I just love their personalities!!! Kuzco is a mamas boy all the way. He likes my hair and he loves to wrap his tail around my wrist. I like to pretend its a hug lol:D

oooooookkkkkkkk - I am SO jealous- LOL you guys are so lucky !
I love little Olive - but I call her the CRABBY VINE LUMP - and if she had a middle finger I am sure she would be giving it to me-:p but I love her anyway -I can read the looks on her face- GO AWAY- FEED ME, THEN GO AWAY - oh, and then there is this look - GO AWAY- LOL
maybe some day she will love me..... ;)

Yes, Squee loves to climb on me and sometimes, I cant get him off!!
If I try, he just goes to the middle of my back where I cant reach him.
He would stay there for hours if I let him.

Smeagie reaches his little arms out to me when I come home so I can let him out.

Noogie, practicly jumps and runs up my arm when I open the cage and loves to "ride around" on my head!! ;)

Anyone who said chams are cold and have no personality, has never owned one that they loved.
If you love them, they will respond :)

LL, how long have you had her?
I have a stuborn mean male panther I have had for months but attempts to tame him have failed. I am now being way more aggresive with my training and he is slowly getting better.
He will now eat out of my hand 'sometimes' which is a huge improvement over having him try to bite my fingers off!!

He doesnt hiss at me anymore, but will start to puff up if I get to close. But if I stop, and hold still, he will cool down.

Next step will be getting him to come out on the free range. :D

I have only had her about 7 weeks - she is very shy - I know she is going to take a long time, but I also think she may be gravid, so I am not rushing anything , I will go at her pace - I can see her getting slowly better, but I miss holding a cham , Gail would go up into my hair, it was like trying to get a burr out of your hair- lol get one foot untangled, she would grab back on with the other 3 - :p I love Olive :D , I just dont think she will ever be the "warm fuzzy" type- but thats ok too ~ she makes up for it w/ her funny little faces - she still make me laugh :)

I bet she will come around with a little concentrated attention, but your right, if gravid, best to leave her be until she lays.

But after she lays, go into full time taming ;)
Make sure she sees your hand every day, and try to keep getting closer, if she snaps at you, dont move or give in.
I know it goes against natural reflex, but even if she does manage to bite you, it's unlikely to hurt very much.
If she knows it's that easy to get rid of you, she will continue to do it.

But, I once just let Smidget bite me, just felt like being pinched with 2 little pieces of sandpaper :D
It freaked him out that I just held my finger there, and he looked up at me like; 'WTF'!!!!

Oh, (wipes tears from eyes), that is just hilarious! You cracked me up big time!:D

That is awsome that your cham wants to be on you. I can't get my male veiled to even come out of his cage and when anyone goes in the room he hides.
