Closet keeping

So in my dorm apt, we cant have pets, reptiles are way easier to hide. Thoughts on this closet setup? I have a sheet covering the closet so it doesnt have air pulling the humidity out. Going to get a better curtain that light wont shine through as we only have safety inspections every couple months.

This helps, ik you cant have big pets, they found our cats, but it says nothing about reptiles.

I would wonder if the inspector would pull back the curtain to see why you had the closet covered. Or, is the curtain hung on the inside of the door? Will the power cords to the cage be noticed or is there an outlet in the closet? I would also have a backup plan in case your setup is discovered...and they won't let you keep it.

Seeing how I live in a college town and work at the local Humane society, I'd advise you to wait til you find an apartment or house. Every year we get in rabbits, Guinea pigs, mice, etc because kids are foolish enough to think they can hide the animals in their dorms. I've always wanted a chameleon but waited til I got my own place so I don't have to worry about moving every year. Just my .02

I think it would be a good idea to wait. Why chance it? What are you going to do with him if you get caught?

the thing is is they dont really check the bedrooms, i already live in a full 2br 2 bath apt. If i get caught im hiding the cham and just tell them im growing plants.

I put some stuff in front of it to kinda hide it better, they never pulled back the curtains before. They just open the fridge to check for alcohol and make sure the place is clean, they dont really go in the bedrooms much.

Im getting a place within 2 months so even if i get caught, they're pretty leaniet and would most likely let me keep it because it doesnt make noise, until i move out.
