Cloth towel behind cage?

Hello, I got my adolescent Veiled about a month ago. I just reearanged his cage today to be more climbing friendly than I previously had it, but there one change I want to make that I feel I should come here to get advice on.

Every time I mist, my wall that faces the back of his cage gets soaked. I don't want to run the risk of having any droplets reaching electrical outlets. Plus... I don't want to have water on my walls.

Is it ok if I pin a small hand towel between the wall and the back of his cage? There is no contact with heat sources so there's no fire hazard there. Would it be harmful to his health? Don't want to run the risk of infection. How often should I change the towel? I figured once every 3 days. I added a picture of what it currently looks like.

Thank you in advance

It looks good to me. I am pretty sure as long as you change it to a clean one at least one a week it will be fine. I had the same problem so I covered my cage in a plastic dropcloth. The towel will probably hold in the heat and humidity better than plastic would, just as a plus. It seems good to me.
Also, where did you get those wooden ladder type-things? Did you make them? I have been looking for something like that to put into my cage.

The ladders were actually made for bird cages, and you can get them at most pet stores. I hot glued them to the wooden dowels that hang horizontally around his cage. both ladders in my cage share a bottom dowell but lead to their own separate dowels at different ends of his enclosure.

That is so smart! Thanks for the awesome idea :p

My concern with the towel is how often are you going to have to change it to keep it from molding?
How about using a piece of that corrugated plastic and setting the bottom end of it in a catch tray such as a wall paper tray or a piece of eavestrough that you fasten to the bottom of the cage?? The catch tray could be set up to drain into a container so you could dump it. Hope I explained that well enough that you get what I mean.

I used a towel behind one of my cages for a couple years and never had any issues. My misters went off every 2 hours for 2-3 minutes at a time and while it would just barely get damp when then misting was happening it'd dry off after maybe 15 minutes. I say give it a try for a few days and see how it does. If it gets overly damp and/or doesn't thoroughly dry off in between mistings then you should definitely try something else out like kinyonga mentioned above.
