Color question

So I got my panther at about 4 months old. I have had him now for about 4 so he is roughly 8 months old. His colors are starting to really come out. He has not shed in 2 months but I read that if they are in a smaller enclosure they won't shed, but once they move to a bigger one they will. So since I'm moving him to his full size enclosure Friday I am not worried. My question is as follow, as you can see in the picture posted his tail is grayish with spots of red, however when I took him outside last week it got a bluish tinge. Has anyone had or seen a cham with a tail like this and if so did it stay that way or develop color?

I am a little befuddled. I see you are in ny, so i assume outdoor time is probably limited for you. Is it possible to take a couple pics outside and then a couple inside while he is awake. I know they hate cameras, but it is hard to judge this pic for me. Intriguing to say the least though. When veil or jax tails turn an odd color like this, the result is usually catastrophic. But relax, i don't necessarilly think that is the case. Try to get those pics and i bet you will get better feedback. PM me when you post. I would love to see the results. He is attractive.

It is not the greatest picture but here is the picture of him outside with me. Keep in mind this was my 3rd or 4th time holding him so his white is really showing. However, you can see his tail gets a bit more bluish/green.

One of my female panthers has a very different colored tail. Her colors are all over the map, but here is a shot of her with it looking like it was dipped in something. I think that is just the way some of them are.
