Color questions

So my lil guy is 4-5 month along and gets this nice bright line right under his chin down to his tail the gets weird patterns of a dark color only sometime almost looks like a cheetah but he is mainly just a lil green guy. So my question is will he Learn to change other colors? or what I see is what I see just wondering he's still a beautiful chameleon and my first lil guy

He will get his big boy colors in time. Each chameleon matures at different rates.
