Got a question about Flash, my Panther Cham.
Current situation.

He is about 2 to 4 months old and seems to be doing well. He eats like a little piggy and is hand fed daily, gets misted 2 or 3 times a day, fogged at 4:45am everyday for about an hour. He wanders around his enclosure pretty handily. Everything in the 3 weeks I have had him seems to be doing fine BUT......

How long does it take for his colors start to become more defined/permanent? As of right now he has a cool red in the throat area and one time basking turned a rusty/red color.

Any help is appreciated

It's probably going to take several more months, but this seems to be an individual thing from what I've seen. Could be sooner, or later. For me, my Panthers colors really changed over that first year and even now that he's about 2 years old... they're still changing.

He also goes through having duller colors during winter and is brighter during summer. So that can be a factor as well! You should share some pictures.

Aw he looks great. Looks like he's coming into a shed too, which is also a factor! My panther tends to get real dull like this just before a shed. So, once he's done his shed he should be showing you some nice brighter colors, at least for the most part.
