Colors of the Carpet

This is my Carpet I got over a year ago from FLChams. Its always interesting to see how many colors a carpet chameleon can produce. So I'm going to try and photograph as many as I can. Here are a few.. I'm missing the yellow, lime green and super black she can produce. The yellow is the most rare and I usually only see it when she is getting hyper and running around between heat lamps. The lime green is usually when she is hiding in the foliage. The super black is only when she is both full of eggs and very angry.

This is the regular green she produces while sleeping.

This is a standard brown, usually seen on any average day.

Here is the black and white annoyed color. Mostly seen son after opening the cage. It goes away after handling her for a minute or two.

And here is just a picture of her new enclosure.

Beautiful! *sighs* One day I will have one of these beauties! <3 Just cant do it right now! My personal favorite is the black and white coloring, even though its their annoyed colors. Beautiful enclosure as well, is it embedded in a wall, or is that just how it looks?

It's actually a fish tank, the back of it has one of those fluorescent lighting ceiling panel covers on it so you can't see the wires behind. It's a three part cage though. The bottom is a 75 gallon aquarium with all the plants. The top is a homemade lighting fixture with two 90w So-Lux daylight replicating bulbs, two 25w UVB bulbs, and three 4w UVA fluorescent lights. It's kinda hard to describe so here are some pictures of when I made it last year. (With all so-lux bulbs and no UVB in the pics)

The middle screened part is removable and is actually a stand alone cage. That's why there are handles on the side. I can just pull it out with the chameleon and the vines still in place and clean the rest of the cage.

Definitely giving the stink eye in photo 2. Lucky owner. Favorite of all chams.

Oh thats definitely the stink eye. Thats pretty standard behavior for that spoiled little girl. She's never mean, but she's definitely got an attitude when she want to. She's not even scared of humans, she'll fall asleep on your finger if she's tired. But don't ever move the little girl where she doesn't want to go, or open her cage... No no no..
