Hi - I have a veiled arriving today from a breeder, don't want to mention name because they have great reviews and every once in a while things get screwed up. I ordered a Juvenile female veiled and received the tracking number yesterday. An hour or so later I got a call saying he didn't have anymore females and I could wait til Sunday and get one from his Dad in Canada (??) or take a male. I asked him about the cage size (18x18x36), said I didn't really want to invest in a new one, and was told this would work fine (???) Then he sort of rudely said do you want me to turn around now (assuming he had it with him and was leaving UPS center) - I said yes, then he quickly added it may be a baby - he wasn't sure. And hung up. baby Chams scare me. I spent a good 2 hours and 3 different bulbs yesterday trying to get the basking temp to 90 (which he said the juveniles were use to) - now I'm confused and running short on time. Juveniles eating 1/2 inch - but babies 1/4 - I just bought 100 1/2 - now I'm panicking. This morning I received and email that plane was delayed and he won't be here by original time UGH!!! Also worried that my cage is too big for a baby - and lastly, baby male veiled are a bit cheaper than juvenile females Is there a tell that this is a baby? Outside of being small? Will post pictures when he arrives These little guys are so stressful...but loveable
