would a cool mist humidifer be a good idea to keep the humidity up for my 4 chameleon cages? like a hose to each cage like a repti fogger! need feedback please dry summer is coming fast

Yes don't use warm mist, it can raise temps and some can even burn your animal.

I was reading reviews on the humidifier you have (Crane Drop Shape Cool Mist Humidifier). Apparently they come in different colors and the others don't work as well as the original white w/blue reservoir (the one you have). Mist doesn't project as far or something.
Anyway, if you check Amazon and search Crane Drop Shape Cool Mist Humidifier, I believe there are pictures in the reviews.

Some humidifier manufacturers call their models "warm", but they are actually about room temp. Other manufacturers might call the same basic design a cool mist type (because the water isn't chilled), so its important to be clear which one you mean.
I think what you are referring to here is actually a vaporizer. A VAPORIZER heats water to boiling to create steam...and this is the type to avoid.
An ultrasonic humidifier produces a fog using high frequency vibration, not heat. This is the type you would want to use.
