Hello, Friends:

I'm looking for some opinions on if you believe my chameleon is a girl or a boy?
He was sold at pet smart as a male veiled juvenile chameleon at two months old a year ago. Looking at the photos of your beautiful chameleon's shared, he resembles a female but kinda looks like a male also. What do you think?

Definitely a female. Petsmart rarely knows what they're talking about in terms of sexing animals

Thanks everyone I appreciate the help and I will get a laying bin ready but what do I do when she has layed her unfertlized eggs what do I do with her eggs!

@Melodie21 said..." I will get a laying bin ready but what do I do when she has layed her unfertlized eggs what do I do with her eggs!"...count them and throw them out...and tell us how many she laid.

Laying bin...opaque container at least 12" deep x 12" x 8" filled with washed playsand that is moist enough to hold a tunnel.

Here's how it should go...she might dig several test holes but should decide on one and dig it until she's happy with it. It could take several days. She will then turn around in it butt down and usually in the evening and lay her eggs. That can take a while too or be quick. She should then fill in the hole and tamp it down and return to the branches hungry and thirsty.

If she acts lethargic, sits low in the cage, sleeps during the day, phantom lays, etc then it means she's eggbound and needs to see a vet asap.

Good luck!
