I'm trying to find a crick crack recipe but I am having no luck with searching it on here. So I would like to ask if someone could give me a recipe or give me the links to the recipes.

I'm going to try to make a bunch so I have enough

If I want to add dandelion flowers, how do I dry them?

i think its been discussed before that its still cheaper just to buy it.

How is it cheaper to buy it? The supplies I have seen..don't seem expensive in a store.
If so..then post me some people who sell it or where I can buy it.

also steve sims on the forums sells it cheaper. i think his name is SsimsswisS or something like that.

i dont think anyone is going to give u a recipe. no soup for u.

HAHAHaha is that a seinfeld quote?

the soup nazi?

Hahahahaha..... man I cracked up.

Any back on topic - the cricket crack recipe is a well guarded secret, mainly because its so sensational ( so ive heard - have not actually tested it myself (yet)).

It doesn't seem too expensive to buy... so not sure what all the fuss with people trying to copy the recipe is.

Its like the KFC secret herbs and spices....many have tried and failed to copy it. They have been trying to work out the formula for decades and still no one knows it :p

Why reinvent the wheel when its so easy to get

panthercham.... your a mind reader,

I was so thinking to reference KFC and all the KFC ripoffs.... that or some pizza parlor and frozen pizzas.....

hehe....

back to topic... now im actually considering purchasing some of "da crack" :p

but im curious to know how the dubia will take to it.... they are pretty content with apples/carrots/escarole/romaine/oranges.

But we shall see.

The crickets take to it faster but I have no problem getting the dubia to eat it. Steve Sims makes some great cricket crack.

the recipe comes on the label... it's the measurements that you will never find... let Steve make a few pennies, he is kind enough to buy it in mass bulk and make it so we all can buy it at a VERY reasonable price. If I were I'd just buy it from Steve, he sells it at a great price.

If you don't want to do it that way, look at chameleononly.com's cricket recipe and buy the ingredients in crazy ass bulk amounts...

You're only going to save doe if you spend a lot of money by buying huge amounts.

My dubias love it. Put some in and check back in 5 minutes and it's covered with hungry little bodies! There is a montane mix too, besides the regular.

ahh!

Thanks Ponders and Laurie... I will def give it a try in the future then, just waiting because im thinking to purchase some more Dubia to give the colony a jump start.

:)

and don't tempt with a montane mix.. because then ill need a montane to go with it :p and I want one really badly

there is other recipes out there for cricket food, unless your just stuck on cricket krak. Most recipes are simple store items, but agian its cheaper if you make like 50-100 lbs of it in the long run.
