Crested Geckos

You can keep them in a glass tank that is taller than it is wide with heavy foliage. Just mist them a few times a day for water and feed them crested gecko diet. They are really easy.

Hey people ive been thinking of getting a/some/crested geckos what are their needs and enviroment

I have a bunch. they are the easiest pet to keep.
A glass tank, a screen cage..both work. Just make sure it's on the tall side as they love to climb. I use live potted plants and pvc pipe for climbing and they love to hide inside during they day. The plants help the humidity too. If you have a pair, the female will need a box to lay her eggs. Some give a humid box to their's but I've tired that and mine don't go inside. They have a plant and i think that works the same way. looks better too.

Mist them morning and night and feed them Repashy's Crested Gecko Diet and crickets dusted with Repashy's Calcium Plus . They are a nocturnal gecko. These geckos have great personalities and you can hold them too where as the day geckos you can't do that. There are a lot of color varieties out there now. I have a few I didn't mean to keep that are just too funny and friendly...stuck now....LOL

pretty easy to care for gecko, check out the for lots more infohttp://www.pangeareptile.com/forums/index.php
They are nocturnal so you won't usually see them in the day unless they're sleeping. So most keepers do not use any source of UVB or special lighting. I keep my crested geckos at temps 70f 76f most of the year with moderately high RH no lower than 50% .I feed mostly crested gecko diet few times a week and few dusted crickets a week.I'll Mist few times in the night and I actually have one that prefers standing water so I have to use a water dish too. Thats just a basic idea of their needs.
