I'm making my first attempt at breeding crickets. I've done some research but still somewhat confused. I purchased a mix of different sized crickets at the store and separated 10-15 of the bigger ones into a different container, more females than males, and put in a tray of dirt for them to lay eggs. What I'm confused about is how long I should leave the dirt in there. I've seen different articles and videos say anything from 2 days to 2 weeks and some say that if I leave it in too long the crickets will dig up and eat the eggs. And I certainly don;t want the eggs to hatch while the large crickets are still in there and have them eat the pin heads. So what are my time frames here? How long until they'e laid the eggs and then how long until the eggs hatch? Any tips greatly appreciated!
