Cricket breeding

So I'm probably gonna sound like a complete idiot for asking this but is it possible for some male crickets not to chirp? I looked up the crickets I have, which I think are "banded crickets" and it says their males chirp is supposed to be very loud.(so indeed, they do chirp) and it led me to believe that my crickets are all female since I have never- since I first got my chameleon- had a chirping cricket. Yet, I looked up what the female and male crickets look like, and I see some crickets who do not have the ovipositor that females are supposed to have. So there are males? But there's no chirping! This wouldn't really matter but I'm planning on breeding my own crickets soon and I'm just seriously confused....I'm sorry I'm still learning :(

They won't grow wings (begin to chirp) until they become a certain age. Let them grow up.

they are also mostly active at night. mine are chriping like crazy with dusk. about 1 male per 3/4 females should do fine

Until they're full grown, thus have wings, they won't reproduce, I think. Until the females have their ovipositor they won't be able to lay eggs (if they have any but as far as I know, their reproductive system only develops perfectly with their last shed).
Wings + ovipositor = female
Wings with no ovipositor = male

You can just wait until their chirping is so loud you want to rip their stupid wings off...
