Whats better an aquarium or a plastic tote for keeping crickets in? ive been using a 29 gallon aquarium

i use plastic, its lighter so its easier to move and also to clean. not to mention its dark in color, so no one needs to see all these crickets

If you'd like the option of using the aquarium again in future, for fish, use a bucket or tote for the crickets. They sometimes chew on the silicon seams in aquariums. Sometimes they also climb the corners.

We like using large plastic totes. We insert wire mesh in the sides and top for good ventilation. (Wire only for obvious reasons...they'll munch mesh screening).

I like to use the aquariums for pinners we've started because I can see their progress and they don't require all that much room. I just throw a towel over the aquarium for darkness.
