Cricket Crack...

I just purchased the combo back from Tiki Tiki Reptiles with the 1 pound of crack and 2 pounds of water crystals. I have a question though, can I use orange juice or some other type of juice with the crystals? Or better yet, carrot juice? I think that would be an awesome way to get some more vitamins into the water supply. Let me know. Thanks!

I think your better off just adding orange slices or carrots to your wet gutload. If you add te juice to the water crystals it will begin to spoil and you will drastically shorten the usable time of the water crystals. Which is the reason you purchased them to begn with.

Btw crick crack is great dry gutload. I just ordered 2lbs from Steve for 20.00 shipped! great guy. Its good for dubias also if you have a colony.

Thanks for the help on the water crystals. I'm just trying to minimize the amount of fresh veggies I have to buy for vitamins/water. I know the cricket crack isn't enough as a gut load by itself but looks like I'll have to buy some veg's anyway.

Actually i think Tiki buys their crick crack from Steve. Hes a member on the forum. Goes by Swimswiss i think. He gives good deals on gutload. From what i hear its his personal recipe. Tiki are good people though and you got the water crystals too, Ive never tried those. Im using the water pillows you get at petsmart. Which are ok.. They last forever if you keep em clean. Thats why i havent ordered crystals yet..

Water crystals are awesome for roaches as well. They keep it cleaner than crickets. They seem to multiply like crazy when I am using it.

6 tsp (teaspoon) to 1 gallon of distiled water will be best. I make 1 gal at a time and save it in the bottle I make it in.

Both of these products are great! I have been using them for several years and the Cricket Crack is an excellent gutload. I know my crickets are eating the healthiest food for my chameleons health. I recommend it to all.
