CRICKET SUBSTITUTES?

I'm getting rid of those hideous insects, called crickets! That is, until some really clever genius, can create either: wingless males or females only!
Somehow, i feel the latter, is a little more impossible! ??

In the mean time, my question is thus... Will Figaro, enjoy dubia and red runner roaches in their place?

Many thanks for any help you can give me on the above matter.

Honestly you just have to try red runners and dubia... some chams love dubia some just aren’t interested.... so yeah I would say get a few of whatever roaches you want to switch to, and see if he likes them (or at least will eat them).

Thanks for the reply. My last wee chameleon, unfortunately didn't eat either and i very reluctantly, had to buy crickets again. Fingers crossed Figaro will like them!

Yeah!

Yeah! My veiled chameleon’s favorite is crickets for sure, which is quite annoying because crickets are my least favorite. (Although he does like BSFL too). If Figaro shows no interest in either, maybe it’s the activity level.
Stormy (my veiled chameleon) wouldn’t touch Dubia but then I hand fed him them and put them all in a small space, aka a little spoon thing that came with our calcium powder, and they were moving a lot more, and what do ya know, he ate them!

moral of the story is, don’t give up! At least try and get him to try the roaches, and if he dosent seem to be a huge fan, oh well. :/

This has already been discussed with you in at least 5 other threads already, and those are only the threads that you started. This thread makes 6.
ONLY EATING HOPPERS NOW!
NO MORE CRICKETS! ???
Are crickets and hoppers enough?
JELLY POTS?
Free roaming or in a cup?

You've stated that your previous chameleon would not eat roaches.
How is anyone supposed to know if your current chameleon will "enjoy" them?
You're just going to have to try them and find out.

Yeah!

If you don't like crickets then be advised that red runners are much faster and they can jump a little.

Thanks for the reply. Ive tried red runner and dubia roaches with my last chameleon. Anything that doesn't incessantly chirp all night is an angel in my eyes. It's the escapees that sprout wings that are in the bad books! Hideous creatures
