Cricket success.

So I had a container with about 200 adult crickets, and I had a tupperware with organic soil and screen over the top. I waited a few days so it was loaded with eggs, then took it out, covered it and put it in the incubator at 90 degrees for about 3 weeks (I know it took forever). Then 1000's of crickets hatched so I put the tupperware in a bigger container and took off the lid, put food and water gel in. I am so pumped I am not going to have to buy crickets anymore.

I finally am producing my own dubias, ff's and crickets.

My word of advice is wait and wait until the crickets hatch... I almost tossed them like 4 times thinking they would never hatch but now in a month or so I will have tons of free crickets! (minus feeder cost, but that is cheap anyways).

Congrats on them hatching. I know the feeling as my first ones hatched about 2 months ago and now have thousands upon thousands and thousands more constantly hatching.

At first mine were taking about 2 weeks to hatch but it was because I didnt have a heating pad under the container. Now that I have that heating pad under the incubator container they start hatching after about 3-4 days. Also keeping them moist helps. if they dry out they die. I keep a lid on the eggs until they start hatching to keep the container moist. It works great.
