Crickets eating toilet paper tubes?

My crickets have been eating toilet paper tubes, what is going on ?
I feed all of them apples, kale, carrots, sweet potato, bell pepper, and squash. Should I remove the tubes?

yeah. remove all the cardboard. use plastic things instead. and try switching up their food bc even tho they are "only bugs" they will eat things if they are lacking anything... try feeding lettuce, reg potato and some cricket feed

i have three cricket bins and i just feed mine potatoes and apples with the occasional carrots but i soak the carrots in cold water for a couple hours before i feed also i but the dry repashy Gutload on all the food i Give. the water crystals i use are the miracle grow i bought from home depot
