I absolutely cannot stand the smell of crickets. They are in the same room as my chameleon (my bedroom) and it honestly smells like I had a zoo. It is the most disgusting putrid smelly ass cheek smell I have ever smelled and I have to put up with it everyday.... is there anyway to get rid of this smell? because I feel bad for my family that lives with me. The smell is so strong u can even smell it when you are coming from downstairs. God I hate those disgusting smelling little creatures! Please help!

You have to clean the cricket bin often. I mean everyday. Here's what I do...I take out the die offs, get rid of any leftover wet gutload. Recently, I've also been circulating the air in the bin by placing a fan next to the bin pointing at one of the openings.

sdheli420 puts fresh rosemarry in his bin.
I tried it. You have to keep it replaced with fairly fresh, but it seriously works.

Cleaning constantly is also good, as well is as much ventilation you can get going.

Have you tried roaches?

oranges and good ventilation helps alot and cleaning daily or at least every other day helps alot

Switch to Dubia roaches if you don't have a roach allergy. No smell, much healthier and meatier than crickets, and are super easy to breed as they don't require humidity or substrate and they completely consume all dead ones. My bin smells of oranges because I give them fresh fruits daily. Otherwise, there's no scent.
