i dont know if there are mayor differences between them. my cham likes both of them. Try to offer more variety of feeders to your cham, and check some nutrient tables about diff insects. There are some in this page too.

Locust are a more natural prey item.
Crickets may be a bit easier to gut load with a varied diet.
Variety is very important, why choose one over the other?
You should use all feeders you have access to.

hey there, I changed my cham's diet from crickets to locusts and he is eating as normal. I think Locusts are a better food for him, they move around more then crickets (for me anyway) and it gives him something to chase and prey on as they move about, jump etc etc

They are both good - use both, as well as as many other prey options you can
