Do the Jamaican come in large sizes? If they do I'll have to check them outI hated crickets... Always had house crickets from the store and had a lot of die off most of the time.
Now I found a webshop that sells Jamaican field crickets... They are great! Much slower than other crickets, they don't hop as much, they haven't made a sound yet and they have more meat on them too.
Since my cham doesn't eat dubia very well this was a good find for me.
They are similar in size as the housecricket but I do think they are a bit wider (fatter).Do the Jamaican come in large sizes? If they do I'll have to check them out
I've seen the banded too but on the webshop it sais banded crickets make more noise than other crickets...A lot of members on here switched to the banded crickets. They are much more hardier and active than the brown crickets. I purchased 100 about a month ago and have had very little die-off. Heck, a few months ago they mistakenly delivered my package to another house and I wasn't able to get to them for the entire week. I was 100% positive that they were all dead, but low and behold, only a handful of them didn't make it. An overwhelming smell of ammonia from the feces and lack of air circulation was also present, but they made it through just fine. I actually keep them in the mid 70's and feed them 2-3 times a week. No issues with mass die-offs at all.
