I am hoping to add another plant somewhere along the line, but in the mean time should i bunch the fake plants all together to make a larger area of foliage?

Yes. just fill the place up, without making it so cramped he cant move.
like i said, if you cant find him for 10 minutes,, hes happy.

Very nice set up! I would say if you added a plant like a pothos it would be PERFECT Your chameleon is sure to be at home in this enclosure Good work!

Reshuffle
so i had a reshuffle of the stuff and got another plant. for the first two days i had him without changing the cage he was very dark and stressed, i think that it was made worse coz he had nowhere to hide.
now ive added the new plant and raised the other up slightly he is looking better. (see first post pics for before) (new post Pics for after)
so what does everyone think?
P.S i have also got the larger plant for outside the cage for him to free range on while im in the room!

It was a cup feeder to put his crix in but he was stressed out by it so have reduceded it to something smaller
