crusty mouth?

lately i have noticed that my veiled is developing these crusty things on the side of his mouth. It almost looks like when one has a really bad cold and your nose gets kinda crusty but a yellowish orange color. He just shed, well only his head did, and they are still there. Im not sure how old he is, but he weighs roughly 75g. He has no problem eating. I have been giving him about 8 crickets and i have started giving him soem hornworms in place of the crickets occasionaly. I have had him for about two months and i think it may be the cause of how i have been supplementing him. i didnt do quite enough research on supplementation when i first bought him and i was just giving him reptivite with D3, for some reason i was under the assumption that it was calcium, i dont know why i thought that. But i have been doing a lot more research on supplementation and i have a little better understanding but im still not quite sure. im thinking of giving him calcium w/o D3 3 times a week, calcium w/D3 once a week, herptivite once a week and mineral-all-0 once a week as well, unless there is a better schedule to use? Here is a picture of Leif, its not the greatest picture because you cant really make out his crusties on his mouth that well, they just kinda look like a white blob.

And here is a picture of his cage setup, 24"x24"x36"

Another question i have is on his temperment. As far as i understand, veileds have bad dispositions and arent the friendliest chameleons. Whenever i walk into my room, he turns all black and looks pissed. all the time. He is rarely colored up nicely, and if he is, he will turn brown or black as soon as he sees me. If i were to add more foliage and hiding spots in his cage would it help to put him more at ease, or is this just how he is, no matter what it is that i do?

My adult male veiled has been with me for over a year now and he is used to me. We have an understanding about getting all riled up over the hand that feeds him. I take my time with the crickets so he knows now that when I approach there is probably a juicy super or a few crickets coming.

Here is some info ... including an article on supplementing:

I'm not sure about the crustiness around the mouth. Usually if they are over supplemented they will excrete excess through the nostrils.

You can definitely overdose on D3 and it can be quite dangerous. I would start by increasing mistings and incorporating a dripper at this point.

i have had a dripper on him, i forgot to mention that. maybe its just nothing, he eats normal, and acts normal. so i guess ill just keep an eye on him and make sure he acts normal and whatnot.
