im no expert but it seems ok, my 2 mounth old veiled cup feeds most of his crickets (unless im hand feeding a treat), just make sure u have the cup someplace where he will see into it .
also it took both of my chams a few days to figure out where there cups were so make sure u free roam one or two buggers so he has something to eat if hes starving
if you have problems with bugs jumpin outa the cup use tweezers to break off one of each bugs legs, keeps them from trying to jump free(this can take alot of time)
goodluck
also iv had much better luck cup feeding when i put bugs into the cup @ lights out the night before hand so hes not freaking out over things moveing
The earlier you start the easier it is for your young dog to learn new tricks. It took a long time for my 10 mo old to learn to cup feed. I'm still not sure about him sometimes.
I got a female 4 month old veiled yesterday ,so I shouldn't be worried about mine not cup feeding either......she doesn't really seem that interested in it really....i haven't tried to hand feed her yet either, but I will try that too.....I figured she would be all about eating
It's strange when I first got mine I didnt try to feed him 1st day, 2nd day I offered him a waxworm he ate it straight up and he's never had trouble eating infront of me. Although he hates drinking infront of me for some reason!
