well i tried to use a bowl to put the crickets and worms in but he didnt show much interest and the crickets always ended getting out. i then tried the 1/2 gallon milk jug feeder with the screen inside for the crickets to climb up on that i saw on a different site. that seemed to work cause i saw him eat a coule times out of it but the problem is that he sees them through the bottom and shoots his tongue at the milk jug. i saw it happen once so i took it out in fear that it would hurt his tongue. i thought about trying to find one of the white ones but it might still be kind of see-through. are ther any other options? thanks guys.

Good job on monitoring and seeing that he was trying to get them from the bottom. Yes this can hurt the tounge. Try the yellow or white ones. One thing I do is pinch the back legs of the crix this way they cant jump. When you have an adult cham this is good to because the males chirpers are sharp which are on the back legs. These can cause cuts that lead to infection.
