Curious to what you use for plant lighting

I am soon changing to linear lights for my chameleon cages. I will have the reptisun 5.0 and 2.0 in the linear fixtures and heat bulbs in separate fixtures. My question is what do you use for extra lighting for the plants in the enclosures. Since Im changing things I want more light for plants to thrive. Ive read a little about the Jungle Dawn led lights but I just want to hear other peoples opinions because Ive read that just regular light bulbs with high lumens too works. Thank you for your input!

BTW This question has prob been asked 5 times this week, do a quick search and compare the different answers.

Anyways you are correct any light in the 6500k light spectrum will help plants thrive. Seeing your enclosure will help alot, but im assuming its safe to guess the 2.0 is doing next to nothing for you and you can prob swap that out and put in a 6500k flourescent bulb instead. Depending on species and how the enclosure is set up the 5.0 could possibly not be doing much for you either different screens filter out a dramatic amount of UVB sometimes up to 40-50% also when it comes to producing more light output t5s are great and provide significant improvements. Ive read several good things about the jungledawn but may not be needed

I had a difficult time finding t5 6500k bulbs at hardware stotres but found hydroponics store that sold 6400k plants bullbs for a decent price

Ok, I did read the post where the jungle dawn lighting and the 6400k bulbs I was just seeing what all as out there and hearing opinions based on what other people use/used.

okay, guess hasnt been many answers on any of the other threads as well. Was just a reminder that they were there and to check on those as well if this one didn't get many replies. Ideally should be fine with any light that ofefrs 6500k spectrum

If you are just looking to add a light for plants and to obtain full spectrum lighting then I would recommend either a Jungle Dawn LED or a Slim line fixture with a 6.5k bulb. If you want to upgrade everything then I would consider looking into a Double or Quad T5 lighting fixture with an Arcadia bulb and a 6.5k daylight bulb.

Here is a post showing a fixture we made to hold the Jungle Dawn LED lights.

If you have number of plants and live in warm sunny climate. rotate plants in and out from outside?

Here are the cages the lights will be going on, I'm thinking more on the side of replacing the reptisun 2.0 with the jungle dawn light. Sorry the picture is vertical its the only way it would upload!
