Howdy All,

To full-fill requests to make available to our chameleon community a purpose-built plant stand that meets our needs; I am offering these stands at a "pass-through" price of $9.83 each in any quantity for a limited time.

They are made of a 1/4" thick, 7" circular diameter acrylic disk milled to specification. Each has 3 legs that are 1/2" diameter cut to 2" long.

These plant stands are designed for easy access underneath for wiping, well-ventilated for minimum water retention, clear acrylic for an unobtrusive look, and sturdy construction to handle typically-sized plastic potted live plants.

Shipping charges (UPS/USPS and any shipping materials) will be at cost. (Free local pick-up :))

Payment by check or PayPal (PayPal charges 3.4% so you'll need to increase the subtotal of stands + shipping by 3.4%)

Questions and order requests - PM or email me please :).

Nice Dave! I love the idea. Once I get money in my paypal account I will buy 2 - 3

Dave, Anyway to get one with longer legs? My lego's bucket isn't working anymore with the mister it's collecting too much water on the edge. My tree is short and sancho's cage is tall :) So I have a 10" lego bucket on the bottom of my plant now. let me know.

Howdy All,

I've had numerous requests for custom leg lengths rather than the 2" standard ones. Here are photos of the standard 2" along with custom 3" and 8" legs. For the moment, custom lengths can be purchased for an additional charge of $0.25 per inch per stand. That is just a pass-through charge of the raw material costs for the 1/2" diameter acrylic round stock. For example, If you want 4" legs then it will be an additional charge of only $0.50+tax on top of the regular $9.83 for a total of $10.38 per stand.

Sounds like everyone is very happy with the stands, great work Dave.

I would love to ditch the pcv that I am currently using, and pick up these. I want to be able to easily wipe under the plants with out having to lift pots.

My major problem is that I need 8 stands, all in 4". The cost adds up fast. I'm sure they are worth every penny as they look sturdy.:)

Dave,

would you know what the max weight may be on them with 4" legs? I have some heavy Umbrellas in 12" pots. I am affraid it may be a bit to heavy.

Thank you,
Jay

Howdy Jay,

If the bottom diameter of the plant pot is 7" or less then it would fit the stand, as-is, no problem. Weight-wise, I've played with ~5-10 pounds and felt that it was just fine. The danger comes when you try to drag a stand sideways without lifting most of the weight off of the legs. They don't like lateral forces, especially if the legs get really long. 4" legs are fine.

Stands with 4" legs are $10.38 total each + shipping. I feel your pain on cost :(. I too, wish they were a lot less. After the mfgr cuts the material, I glue them together for free just to keep the cost from the mfgr as low as possible . Gluing stands gives me a break from reading posts :).

Funny, one comment I got from a keeper who bought some stands was that it was a shame to hide them under a plant since they look so nice all by themselves:).

Anyone going to the next SBCK meeting at Dr. Greek's location on Saturday, June 20th, get your orders in by about Tuseday to assure local pick-up and save the shipping charges.

Thank you Dave for the prompt responce. :)

I just need to decide when and how many to order. The 4" should be fine and leave ample space to wipe beneath them without them needing to be moved.

Thanks Dave,
Jay
