Do not use d3 every day. It should be used 2 x a month.
use calicum wihtout d3 and phosphorus every feeding and a multivitamin 2 x amonth

D3 should only be used twice a month. There is Calcium without d3 and this is what you'll use on most feedings. You also need a multivitamin supplement that you'll use twice a month as well.

what calcium do you guys recomend? is it sold at pets stores??

Assuming Flukers has the IU/Kg that I remember, using it daily is perfectly fine

The other two don't understand that different brands have different quantities.

Yes I do understand that thank you very much. I'm just not familiar with the flukers brand, so to be on the safe side I reccomended to use it twice a month. But you cleared that up, so good for you :)

Lol someone has an attitude. Yes I do understand that thank you very much. I'm just not familiar with the flukers brand, so to be on the safe side I reccomended to use it twice a month. But you cleared that up, so good for you :)

When people constantly suggest things that are harmful to others animals without looking into the reasoning behind their recommendations, yes you can claim I have an attitude.
I'm simply tired of seeing the same "d3 2x per month MAX" repeated by anyone that's ever seen it posted by anyone else, yet have no reasoning behind it at all.

I'm not going to argue with you. You corrected what I said so thats great, we're only helping the OP. Like I said I'm not familiar with flukers supplements so this is why I reccomended d3 twice a month. But yes I do understand that all d3 and multivitamin supps are different and not all are going to be used only twice a month. Maybe I should have put that in my post, but I didn't. Thanks for correcting me.

I know you know your stuff, you're just the one replying.
No hard feelings :D

d3 calcium was used evry day

im just wondering what the side effect of using d3 calcium every day would be>?

The buildup of D3 can do some serious damage to your cham I have read. Not exactly sure what, but I think its something you want to avoid.

I have "Fluker's Calcium with Vitamin D3" and it reads:
Calcium not less than ..................36.00%
Vitamin D3 minimum .......100,000 IU/pound

Others that know what the numbers mean can make informed statements now ;)

ok so i will have to go buy a calcium with no d3 in it first thing tomorrow, i am also wondering if anyone else uses the reptolife color enhancer? i use it 3 times a week on dusting my crickets

Don't take my word as law... I dont actually have a cham. I have a chinese water dragon and dont know how I will supplement it yet.

please also be aware that a jacksons needs far less supplementation than a veiled or panther.

wow i had no idea that the jacksons need less supplement ...why do u say that..i know u posted the sites but just in a general discussion of this subject i would like to know ur opinion pleese or what u know.:d

Montaine species (Jackson's included) are more sensitive to supplementation; they require less to be healthy than a panther or veiled. I do not keep Jacks, so for specifics you should talk with people who do (successfully). But from what I read (not personal experience) calcium supplementation should be used every other day for juveniles and gravid females; only 1-3 times a week for adults (depends on the type of feeder used and what you gutload with). Herptivite once per month if you gut-load your insects properly. D3 once per month (if using good UVB lighting). Rather than heavy supplementation, focus on providing a variety of feeders and a GOOD gutload regimine

They also like it much cooler and higher humidity.
