Dark Female

Question!

I changed my Females lighting earlier today to see if it would keep her more warm, but since I did she's been a real dark green. I'm worried about her.

She does not feel cold, but I've only seen her this dark in the mornings when she was cold.

I added 2 pictures of her and one of the lights on her cage. No I DO NOT know what wattage the bulbs are so please don't ask.

Can anyone tell me why she's so dark?!

She could just be stressed by the temp changes

I didnt touch her cage

Just messed with the lighting. Should I change the lighting back and see how she handles it?

No, let her get used to it because the she will be even more stressed and she might not eat and she might loose weight. So leave it how it is and she should be fine in about a week or two

Shouldn't she just go back to how it was if the cham was happy before?

No because she is ajusting to the new enviroment. This will get her to this one and if you change it once again she will be even more confused and stressed. Zoey just let her get ajusted then do whatever. Then you have to let her get ajusted to it once more.

I'll leave it but if she's still dark in an hour I'll put it back. Its been that way since 2pm and its now 8pm I wouldnt think she should still be dark.

No, let her ajust. You will over stress her. Just leave it she will be fine.

I suspect she's getting stressed not because of the temperature but the humidity.

I saw in your hygrometer's picture, it reads less than 10%?
It is a very dangerous situation. You need to boost the humidity up.
You should not let it fall less than 40%.
Plus, the <10% humidity is dangerous both for you and your chameleon.

You can also develop a URI from that arid room.
My suggestion is use a humidifier.
Today has been unbelievably dry.
Mine drops to 29% this afternoon.
So I add more misting session and turn on humidifier to finally manage it to get to 40%).

hope that helps
