i don't see why your cham will behave anything different.

relax and have fun having your chameleons around.
most likely you are the one that will behave differently being annoyed by the cricket chirping every night lol
I like to hear it once in a while.. but boy do they start to get annoying after a day or two of constant chirping.
haha yeah tell me about it. They are chirping like crazy right now. But they've been doing it for like 4 days now its I'm used to it. I just was making sure because normally I don't get them when they chirp. So I didn't know if that may be an issue with her.
I've had them for months but I still don't know all too much about them lol

nahhh. when chameleons hates their cage, believe me, they will let you know.
veiled are just mean in general. especially when they defend their territory.

I know her vines have been falling off the walls so I have to fix that and maybe thats what her problem is. She may just not like that the cage isnt how she remembers because she makes the vines fall off?
It could have been a bunch of things. I think I am gunna stop guessing.
Changing her cage from Glass to Mesh probably wouldn't make a difference would it?

i'm pretty sure, it'll make her happier to get fresh air enclosure.
I always recommend people to get all screen cage.
Glass is good for baby only.
definitely not for your 10 months old chameleon.

No thermometer yet. My bf gets paid next week so thats when we are going to be going to get a few of the things needed to improve their cages.
We're taking $50 outta each check. Its not a lot and things won't get done overly fast but its all we can afford. (actually we can't afford it, but I'm going to make it happen anyway lol)

My Male is in the screen cage. He came with it.
The Female came with a BIRD cage and we found the cage she is in on CL and bought it, the person we bought it from used it for Chameleons and said it was a really good cage for them, I've always had a problem keeping it warm enough for her.

what state do you live?
If you live around FLchams, you can go to them and get one.
you can always check the forum members.
I know eddykim, a member of the forum, has been trying to get rid 2 of his big enclosures.
He's giving them for free (but local pick up only at Los Angeles area. Azusa)
If you live nearby, you should give him a PM to see if he already get rid of them.
cage can get pretty expensive.
If you want to save money, used one is the way to go.
just make sure you disinfect them really well with bleach solution (10:1 Water:bleach)
and scrub scrub scrub. Rinse it good and let the sunlight dry them and wait for a week to make sure there it's safe. (who knows what kind of parasites or bacterias that the previous chameleon has. that's why you gotta make sure the cage is clean b4 introducing it to your healthy cham)

I'm in Boise Idaho and I dont have a reliable car lol. I'll keep an eye out, there was someone on Craigslist selling one for cheap but it looked home made and I didnt want to risk it.
