Dark spot on Chams nose

I noticed this dark spot on the left of my Chams nose today. I tried to get a better picture but he's afraid of my phone. Any ideas?

Yes, that's what it looks like. Do you think it requires a visit to the vet or should I just watch it to see if it worsens. I hate to stress him if it's not needed.

I don't think it requires a vet visit. Any bangs or scratches they get will show come up black like that. Sometimes the black is under their skin and you only see it once they shed. Just watch it--that would be my advice. I've dealt with some incredibly banged up wild caughts and on the whole, chameleons heal themselves quite well. It just takes a lot of time to get rid of those black marks and many sheds.

He's an Ambilobe. I got him from Chameleon Paradise. Sired by Candy Cane and moms sire is Primo. He's very blue and teal but he has some red under his chin. It's great fun to see his colors come in.
