Dark spots on my female veiled

I have a female veiled chameleon, had her a month and a half. She is about 4 1/2 months old. Today when getting her out of her cage I noticed dark spots on her back that aren't going away and are black which is not like her normal color changes. Is this normal? Do I need to take her to the vet? Please help!

Most likely burns. How severe isn't very clear, but you can treat them fairly simply. Ask a vet for Silvadene burn cream. If you can't find that, use Polysporin. The burned tissue will eventually fall away and you'll see new pink tissue underneath. It will scar for quite a while and she may lose some of her spines. Hard to predict as it depends how deep the damage went.

Check the temp directly under her basking bulb. If she spends lots of time in one specific spot directly under the heat she can get burned. Move the bulb farther away from the top of the cage. The temp at the basking perch will drop some, but she may bask a little longer instead.

I don't think they are burns I have a deep dome light and her basking point is down from the top of the cage. From research I've done I think it maybe bruises? Does that seem possible for what it looks like? When I got home from work today her cricket tub was in the bottom of the cage like it had fallen and maybe she fell with it :( I have now taken measures to secure the tub so this will no longer happen. I didn't link the two things until I started googling and saw other similar spots that were bruises on other chameleons.
