fun weekend, got to see some buddies that i haven't seen for a while, networked, and enjoyed the heck out of the show. haven't been to this one since it ws still in Orlando, probably 12 years or so as i had moved up to NY.
fairly disappointing overall in the cham department, imo (except for the nice panther that Olimpia picked up). i had mentioned in another thread that there was a good looking Faly, but by the end of the first day his nose rub from stressing was awful, and then he was gone. dunno if he was sold or if they took him off display. lots of veiled babies everywhere, maybe 30ish panthers, some mediocre Jackson's and a few Verrucous. highest prices as always went to the 2 headed snake ($50k), and many ball pythons in the $10k-25k range.
here's some shots that i took, just trying to capture the feel of the show for those that want to know what it was like. it's really hard to take decent pix there since they're obviously mostly through cages, the glare of the lights for display purposes, and the general hustle and bustle going on. i commend jannb and trd1215 for their photos! it is possible that about 2/3 of what was there was comprised of ball pythons and maybe leopard geckos. more than a few of our photos coincide with each other of the last 1/3rd.
(more shots to follow)
