Daytona Reptile Breeders Expo 2012

Thank you so much Dr. O! :D

I looove seeing show pics. I have to say.. I'm a little mad at you for posting pics of the Green Tree Pythons. I have conflicting emotions. A fear of handling snakes, and my undying love for GTP's. I want to own one so badly, but they have quite the mean reputation. Lol. The most beautiful animals, always have to be the most difficult.. :(

lol!! i will never own one due to their personalities, but i too go gaga over their juvenile colors and always will. i had more photos of them but i had to be balanced! in college i did a term paper on the evolution of the green tree python vs. the emerald boa which is one of the most classic examples of convergent evolution. ever since, they have just become a favorite species of mine.

Nice cham tattoo! :D Is that your wife?

it is! the lady did a great job on the tattoo. her demo was pretty bland and it was great to overhear MJ telling her how to properly do the patterns for hers. great stuff.

Im not a snake guy myself but when i got down to the scaleless texas rat. I hadnt scrolled down far enough to see the labels. I sat there for a good minute looking at that snake. i was intrigued by the lack of scales and the eyes look a bit off too. I would like to know the amount of time that someone spent on that morph/

i spent a night reading about scaleless morphs as well after seeing those. really a "reduced scale" like silkback beardies, but without the issues apparently. no trouble shedding or anything like that. and they still have their ventral scales so no trouble with locomotion.

i came across a photo of one shedding and it looked like a condom was rolling off of it! :D

maybe we'll do scaleless chams!! now wouldn't THAT get the board in a fury!! :D ("That's not a scaleless Faly! it's a scaleless Falybanja!!")

one cool part about the scaleless snakes is that their color patterns are unpredictable and completely abnormal. that would be pretty wild in the cham world, particularly as the color changing aspect should remain normal!
