Daytona Reptile Show Pictures 2012

Beautiful pics jannb... I got some pics of the show as well. I will post some later on tonight :) maybe on this thread.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Can anyone here explain why that toad is going for 12 grand? I know nothing about the value of amphibians.

I'm not sure exactly what it is but it looks like a young Cane Toad to me which would mean it should have read 12 dollars not 12 grand ha haa

I'm guessing that wasn't the price for the toad and bit of clever photography on Jann's part just made it look like it?

Either way love the pictures, Thank you Jann for sharing! You're awesome.

TRD picked up a real good deal on some Cherry heads for me!

Jann it is generally really frustrating looking at all the bad photos of these shows but yours are so clean and professional. Thank you for sharing it really is appreciated! Especially by those of us too far away to go to the show.

Wow I want an albino Gator :D those are some excellent pictures you took! I wish you had more to be honest :D Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for posting all the show photos! Just got back home today. I'll have to post a few photos of the chams I came home with, once I get caught up on everything back home.

Great pics Jann. These are great photos. I wish I had a reptile show like this near me. :( that's awesome that padres canvas raised such a big donation. Great job jann and that was so kind of you.

A few more of the animals

i had gone back a few times to look at that Faly, he was nicely colored and a very solid looking boy. what looks black in the photos was all red rain, just really dark most of the time. unfortunately by the end of day 1 he had such a bad snout rub from the screen it was almost bleeding. he was gone about 1/2 hour later and not there sunday; dunno if he sold or if they took him down from display.

jann, it was pretty awesome that at least for the time that i was at the auction, your print was the ONLY item that sold for it's suggested value, whereas everything else sold cheaper than it's declared value.

i'll try and get some of my shots up tomorrow. i've already spoken with Wayne Hill and he knows that i'll have my chams there next year!

and this is what i mean--i had taken this shot as it was worsening, but it was much worse a few hours on.

Enjoy all the pics!

Did you all notice the one stand in the front that had the 4 Betta fish?

The guy even said "We're not supposed to have these here." DUH! It's a Reptile convention.

But of course with THOUSANDS of baby reptiles at the show, all I come home with is a FISH. I bought a beautiful ALL black crown-tail betta, he's very pretty

The cane toad was going for 12 grand because it's a leucistic. The only known leucistic cane toad at that.

Thank you for explaining that. I couldn't figure out what was going on there!

And thank everyone else who is sharing photos, keep them coming!
