dead color cells

i noticed yesterday when i brough my 4 month olld panther in from its outdoor enclosure that he had a tiny black stripe of skin cells just below his mouth about half a centemeter long or smaller it has been like this since and i was wondering if it will ever go away? it almost looks like when you have a few dead pixels on a camera or tv screen. has anyone ever heard of this?

Could it be a bite from an insect or injury? Possibly, your chameleon rubbed the area kind of hard on something in the enclosure? Most likely, it is nothing to worry about and will go away. However, post pictures so people can better help you.
