Congrats to Royden and Otto :)

Congrats Royden for another great Otto photo. Otto's head is getting so swelled with pride now that I'm afraid it might just pop (Otto is living with me to enjoy a little female companionship). His main squeeze, Zora, is starting to roam her cage so she must be ready to lay. Keep your fingers crossed. Another female, Elvira, became gravid last week. She moved into Otto's cage after Zora moved out for egg development. Otto loves living with a female. He is very gentle with them. He doesn't pursue them right away for breeding. Instead he enjoys their company for weeks before he actually does something with them. The females will sit next to him for most of the day because of this laid back behavior. He always lets them eat first and follows their every movement with his eyes. They are removed after they become gravid. His behavior is very unlike most male Veileds. This living situation would not work at all with most of them. The photo contest award should boost his spirits as he goes without a female in his cage for awhile. He gets visibly bummed when he is alone. Congrats on the photo Royden and for raising up such a great boy :)

Otto is sick looking! Looks just like the cham on the cover of my Petr Necas book. Any relations to the bloodline?
Nice going everyone.
I would like to suggest if there hasn't been already a contest for point and shoot
