Dehydrated colin is lapping it up!

Even with misting 3 times a day, a dripper and a lovely new tank, uva bulb loads to climb. colin would always eat but not drink i just thought he drank when i wasn't looking as he showed no signs of dehydration. However i kept an eye out and noticed his eyes starting to sink a little after his shedding to i took action, i prolonged my misting and had squirted him in the face a little bit as a result of this, once he opened his mouth to lick his lips i squirted a bit more in, this went on for minuets and colin was loving it!! he has now learned to dink off the fake plats and the glass! i am happy he is drinking again and i will be rewarding him with a new REAL plant to retain water tomorrow!

My male veiled still hates being sprayed, although he likes to explore the plant when it is soaking wet (he doesn't drink when exploring) I think he just doesn't like the spray bottle (btw the water is warm)

Do you have a uva or uvb? You need a uvb, it really does make a difference. Other than that is sure sounds like you are doing great. Hope all goes well.

i have a 5.0 UVB bulb, it was almost as if he didnt know how to drink off the plants but after a good spraying in his mouth hes been all over the place drinking water so yeah pretty releived!
