Determining age?

Is there anyway to determine the age of a chameleon? I recently purchased a female veiled from a local reptile shop and they were unsure of how old she is. I was just wondering if certain lengths or colouring possibly correspond to how old she could be? She is still virtually the same shade of green all across her body besides a slight red along her face and hood, and is around 5"-6".

There really isn't a way to get a definite age, but since you said she's still totally green I'd wager she's under 6 months old. When they mature, females will develop mustard yellow spots and blue coloring, so that's something to go off of, at least.

I'm not entirely sure how old my cham is, either, but she just started showing her mature colors a month ago, so I'd guess she's about 7-8 months now because of that. Do you have a picture of your girl that you can post? Maybe we can get some better guesses that way?

This is the best picture that I have available of her.
