Did he eat the spagnum moss??

Smeagie was out of the free range and I found him in the fake hanging plant.
The pot has dried sphagnum moss over it, and while I did not actually see him eat any, I suspect he may have.
He was moving his mouth like eating, but I didn't see anything in his mouth.
There was, however, pieces of moss on the floor, so I know he had to be digging in there.

So now I'm afraid he did eat some and is constipated.
He hasn't pooped in 4 days, and I have been feeding him butterworms and lots of veggies, and make sure he drinks a lot.

Any suggestions for a cham 'laxative"??

canned unsweeten unspiced pumpkin filling. Like just pumpkin mush. Its what my vet recommended. Lots of FIBER!

Warmer temperatures and a very warm water misting almost always gets my chams to lay out a big poop. Also juicy feeders like hornworms help to move the system and lube it up lol.

I agree with all above...I personally go crazy when I don't see poop...Immediate shower chamber and warm mistings, hornworms help hydrate the entire organism so it will facilitate a large poo and I also do Cod liver oil. Hope you see movement soon.

Ok that sounds great, but how do I get Sméagol to eat it??

I was thinking of injecting small amounts of olive oil into the bellies of cricks with a insulin syringe.
Wadda ya think??!!

How about silkies?? I have those coming.
I have been giving him 4 to 6 butterworms a day.
He acts perfectly happy and normal. And this time of year, I don't see much
poop from any of my guyz.

Cant find any poops on his free range, or glued to the leaves in his cage.

Anyway, since none of them are eating much right now, plus I didn't actually
SEE him eat the sphagnum moss, maybe I'm just worry too much???
